Leaving the 1980s Behind
Before the bathroom renovation, this Mount Lawley ensuite was unmistakably dated, with bold orange tiles, yellow fixtures and finishes that no longer suited the character of the home. What may once have felt on trend had become tired and visually overwhelming, making the space feel more like a leftover from another era than a comfortable, inviting ensuite.
A Timeless Hamptons Direction
The homeowners wanted to move away from trend-driven choices and create a bathroom renovation that felt elegant, classic and better aligned with the style of their home. Hamptons-inspired design became the guiding vision, bringing together soft tones, refined detailing and a more relaxed sense of luxury. The aim was to create a space that felt fresh and updated without losing its sense of warmth or lasting appeal.
Layering in Character and Calm
The transformation introduced white subway tiles, a custom grey shaker-style vanity, geometric floor tiles and chrome fixtures throughout, all working together to create a more balanced and timeless finish. A frameless glass shower helped the room feel more open, while the updated vanity, mirror and fittings added both practicality and a more polished overall look. Each element was chosen to soften the space and replace the busy, dated feel with something far more considered.
A Fresh Ensuite with Lasting Appeal
The completed bathroom renovation now feels calm, refined and beautifully suited to this Mount Lawley home. What was once a loud and outdated ensuite has been transformed into a timeless retreat with much stronger character and functionality. The final result shows how thoughtful material choices and a clear design direction can completely reshape a space and give it a fresh sense of relevance.
