Ensuite and Main Bathroom Renovation in East Victoria Park
Before the Renovation
Before this bathroom renovation, both the ensuite and main bathroom felt dated and lacked the clean, functional style the homeowners were after. The original rooms featured older tiling, traditional chrome tapware, framed and frosted shower elements, and compact vanities with inset basins. In the main bathroom, the shower-over-bath layout and heavy visual lines made the room feel tired and less practical for everyday use. While both spaces were still serviceable, they no longer matched the look or comfort expected in a modern home.
Design Goals
The aim of the project was to create two bathrooms that felt brighter, more spacious and easier to use day to day. The owners wanted a fresh, modern finish with a calm, timeless look that would suit the home for years to come. It was important that the ensuite felt refined and streamlined, while the main bathroom needed a more open layout with improved functionality. This bathroom renovation was designed to balance practicality with warmth, using finishes that felt clean without looking too stark.
What Changed
Both spaces were completely updated with a cohesive palette of large-format marble-look wall tiles, darker floor tiles, modern tapware and custom timber-look cabinetry. The old vanities were replaced with sleek new units featuring above-counter basins and mirrored storage cabinets. In the ensuite, the shower was refreshed with clear glass screening to open up the room visually. In the main bathroom, the original shower-over-bath configuration was replaced with a spacious walk-in shower, creating a more functional and contemporary layout.
The Final Result
The finished result is a striking transformation across both rooms. The new bathrooms feel lighter, cleaner and far more inviting, with the timber cabinetry adding warmth against the crisp white surfaces. By opening up the layouts and updating every finish, this bathroom renovation has given the home two practical, polished spaces that feel modern, comfortable and built for everyday living.
