Kelmscott Kitchen Renovation

This renovation focused on completely opening up a closed, dated layout and delivering a high-spec kitchen with strong functionality and clean, modern finishes throughout.

The original kitchen was tight, segmented and disconnected from the rest of the home, with multiple walls and archways breaking up the space. We removed key walls to create a single open-plan kitchen, dining and living zone, dramatically improving flow, natural light and overall usability.

The new kitchen was designed as a central feature, built with custom cabinetry combining warm timber finishes with crisp white joinery for contrast. A large island with extensive drawer storage anchors the space, paired with expansive benchtops and a streamlined layout that works equally well for everyday use and entertaining. A dedicated oven tower, clean lines and minimal detailing give the kitchen a refined, high-end feel without overcomplicating the design.

A butler’s pantry was added to take pressure off the main kitchen, providing additional bench space, storage and appliance zones. This allows the main kitchen to remain clean and uncluttered while still being highly functional, a major upgrade from the original layout.

Lighting was completely reworked with a combination of downlights and feature linear pendants, giving even coverage across the island and work areas while adding a strong visual element to the space. New flooring, fresh paint and consistent detailing throughout complete a transformation that not only looks high-end but fundamentally changes how the home is used, turning a cramped, outdated kitchen into a spacious, high-performing centrepiece that adds real value to the property.
