Making Better Use of the Space
Before the renovation, the ensuite and adjoining robe were both limited in size, which made the overall layout feel cramped and less functional than it could have been. Separately, each space was too small to work well on its own. Together, though, they offered the opportunity to create something far more practical, spacious and in line with the way the homeowners wanted to use their master suite.
A More Open and Liveable Layout
The goal of this ensuite renovation was to combine the two smaller spaces into one larger bathroom that felt more comfortable and much easier to use day to day. Rather than trying to work around a tight existing layout, the design focused on reconfiguring the space entirely to create a more generous ensuite with better flow, improved storage and a stronger overall sense of calm.
Warm Finishes with a Contemporary Edge
The new ensuite features a custom light timber floating vanity, a stone benchtop and a round vessel basin that together bring warmth and softness into the room. In the shower, large-format brown and taupe feature tiles add depth and texture, while the frameless glass screen helps maintain a clean and open feel. White wall tiles, grey floor tiles and subtle chrome fixtures complete the palette, creating a bathroom that feels modern, balanced and quietly luxurious.
A Master Suite That Feels Transformed
The completed renovation has turned two small, underperforming spaces into one spacious and beautifully resolved ensuite. What was once tight and restrictive now feels open, refined and far better suited to everyday living. It is a strong example of how thoughtful reconfiguration and carefully chosen finishes can completely change the experience of a space.
