Leaving the 1990s Behind

Before the renovation, the bathroom, laundry and toilet all carried a dated look that made the home feel older than it needed to. Green cabinetry, beige tiles and tired finishes gave the spaces a strong 1990s feel, while the original layout offered an opportunity to improve both privacy and everyday function.

A More Modern and Functional Direction

The goal of this renovation was to thoroughly update all three areas and create a cleaner, more contemporary look throughout. Part of that transformation involved rethinking the layout, including separating the toilet into its own room to improve privacy and make the spaces more practical for daily use. This approach allowed the renovation to deliver not just a visual refresh, but a much better overall experience for the household.

Monochrome Finishes with Strong Contrast

The updated design introduced a refined grey and white palette, complemented by large-format tiles, a floating vanity, stone benchtop and frameless glass shower. Matte black fixtures added contrast and helped give the spaces a more modern edge, while feature tiling brought depth and definition without overwhelming the rooms. Across the bathroom, laundry and toilet, the finishes now feel cohesive, polished and far more in line with the rest of the home.

A Major Upgrade with Lasting Impact

The completed renovation has transformed these Hilton spaces from dated and underperforming into fresh, functional and highly considered rooms. What was once a collection of tired wet areas is now a contemporary upgrade that improves both presentation and practicality. It is a strong example of how quality finishes and thoughtful layout changes can completely modernise a home.
