Opening Up a Dark and Dated Space

Before the renovation, this Carine bathroom felt enclosed, tired and lacking in natural light. A dated arched dividing wall cut through the room and made the layout feel more cramped than it needed to, while the smaller window and older fixtures added to the dark and closed-in feel. Although the bathroom was functional, it lacked the openness, brightness and comfort the homeowners were after.

A Better Layout with More Light

The goal of this bathroom renovation was to completely transform the way the space looked and felt by opening it up and improving its overall flow. Removing the dividing wall was a key part of the design, helping create a more spacious and contemporary layout. Replacing the original window with a larger one also made a big difference, bringing in more natural light and helping the bathroom feel fresher and more inviting.

Contemporary Finishes with Practical Detail

The new design introduced a floating white vanity, a vessel basin, large-format tiles and a frameless glass shower screen, all of which helped create a cleaner and more refined overall finish. Charcoal and white tones added contrast while keeping the room feeling bright and modern, and the built-in bath and dedicated shower zone gave the space a more balanced and practical layout. Concealed laundry cabinetry was also integrated into the room, allowing it to remain highly functional without interrupting the overall look.

A Light, Spacious and More Liveable Bathroom

The completed bathroom renovation now feels open, bright and far more enjoyable to use each day. What was once a dark and dated space has been transformed into a modern bathroom that balances style, storage and everyday practicality. It is a strong example of how thoughtful structural changes and carefully selected finishes can completely reshape the experience of a room.
